ASSITEJ Artistic Gathering 2015 and Augenblick Mal! Festival

    Thursday, February 19, 2015

ASSITEJ Germany and the German Children and Young People’s Theatre Centre are thrilled to host this year’s ASSITEJ Artistic Gathering (AAG15)! It will be taking place for the first time during the Augenblick mal! festival in Berlin - April 21-26, 2015. Its motto is “Generations in Dialogue”.
At the heart of the ASSITEJ Artistic Gathering 2015 (AAG15) will be four talk rounds, the International Artistic Encounters, each of which will last for several hours. The centre of attention will be devoted to the productions that have been invited to Augenblick mal! 2015 and their perspectives on the concept of generations. The Encounters will be accompanied by a range of exchange formats. The International Artistic Networks will be meeting in Berlin and the Next Generation programme for up-and-coming artists will be closely tied in. An exhibition is intended to stimulate ideas and opinions on the past, present and future history of theatre for young people. The 50th anniversary of the foundation of the World Association will be celebrated and honoured.

March 20 TYA World Day - Join the campaign!

    Friday, January 16, 2015

World Day for Theatre of Children is an ASSITEJ campaign, promoted and celebrated through the message 'Take a Child to the Theatre Today'.

This focus should enable National Centres, individual members, companies, arts organisations, academics, teachers, artists, practitioners and others interested in theatre for young audiences to connect with the idea of World Day and 'make the case' for children's entitlement to theatre and the arts. All ASSITEJ Members are invited to promote the World Day messages and consider additional activity - large or small. Each year ASSITEJ Centres around the globe deliver activities ranging from conferences, performances, workshops and special media events. This tool-kit aims to help you plan for World Day 2015 which happens on March 20th.
