Diana Krzanić Tepavac is an actress, a drama
pedagogue, the founder and the artistic director of the Studio for
Performing and Visual Arts "Step out" ("Iskorak"), within which she
explores the possibilities of drama pedagogy through a direct
cooperation with young people. She has been a member of the ASSITEJ
Serbia board since 2005, and in 2007 she was elected its
president.
As an actress, she has played numerous roles in theatre,
TV and film, under the direction of P. Magelli, V. Ognjenović,
Lj.Ristić, E.Savin, G.Gojer, J. Gould, S. Mrmak, Marušić. During
the eighties, she participated in foundation of the first informal
theatre and artistic groups "New Sensitivity" ("Nova osećajnost"),
"The Signs of Culture" ("Znaci culture"), "Workshop for Repair of
the City" ("Radionica za popravku grada") and in research projects
in the area of theatre of painting ("Breakfast on the Grass"). She
is a coauthor of many video art works (Jus Jurandum), art
performances "Neo-Body", "The Tearing of the Painting", and the
director of several performances made with teenage population ("You
are not alone" (2007), "Waiting for Visa" (2009)) which were shown
in the programme Bitef Polyphony within the frame of
41st and
43rd Bitef festival in Belgrade and at
the 1stWorld Youth Theatre festival
"Right&Wrong", in Vienna 2009.
As the director of ASSITEJ Serbia, she has initiated many
programmes, roundtable discussions, and has taken part in many
seminars; she has made the concept, production and coordination of
the project "The Art of Theatre in Cultural Policy for the Young"
(2009), "Radio play in Culture for the Young - the Current Trends
and Prospects" (2010), the International Writers' Forum "Growing
Dramaturgy" (2010), "Current Trends in Theatre for Children and
Youth and the Projects for a Better Perspective for the Young in
the Region" (2011). She has participated in many international
conferences, exploring topics of theatre practice applicability to
the work for and with the young. Since 2005, she has been a member
of CEDEUM Idea, and since 2008 a member of its executive its
board.
