ASSITEJ – Azerbaijan National Center – Azerbaijan State Theater of Young Spectators attaches great importance to the further development and expansion of creative relations with foreign theaters as in previous months. In November, the theater participated in the V International Theater Festival Northern Visions; that was held in Nizhnevartovsk, Russia. Shovgi Huseynov, Honored Artist performed “Contrabass” mono-play by Patrick Suskind at the festival. Performance and actor’s acting manner were greatly appreciated by the organizing committee of the festival and the audience. ADGTT was awarded with a diploma in the nomination of “Rare Actor Act”. It should be noted that theaters from Russia, Moldova, Italy, France, USA, and other countries also participated in the festival.

In addition, the theater regularly performed the spectacles for younger generation. So “White Death” by V. Sigarev was performed at the theater. The main subject of the play is drug trafficking and drug addiction. The spectacle was met with interest by adolescents and younger generations. In November, the Azerbaijan State Theater of Young Spectators has signed another international project. The theater with the Baku Yunis Emery Institute, which is a representative of Turkey in Baku presented the performance “Ashg-i Nigar” based on the motifs of the hero of the Turkish world “Koroglu”. On November 14, the first premiere of the performance was met with great interest by the audience.
