ASSITEJ KOREA is inviting all for K-PAP 2021 Programs held during the 17th ASSITEJ Korea Winter Festival in Seoul!

K-PAP (Korean Performing Arts Platform for children and youth) is organized to present outstanding Korean TYA performances to international and domestic promoters since 2018.

From this year, the participation of foreign artists in our program has been expanded, and we are providing opportunities for networking through workshops with different artists.

In 2021, we are running all of the programs via online platforms due to the pandemic crisis and now sending you our invitation to participate in  K-PAP 2021 programs as international delegates.

There will be five programs; two main programs will be held only in English and three other programs which will be held in only Korean.

    🌏 Seoul, KOR
    🗓 6 – 24 January 2021

We would like to invite you to our 17th ASSITEJ KOREA Winter Festival in Seoul from 6th January to 24th January in 2021! Meanwhile the festivals around the world has been cancelled due to COVID-19, ASSITEJ Korea is trying to deliver the message of hope and positive energy to children and youth throughout the art of theatre. At this festival, we are presenting total thirteen performances as main and New Challenge and also planning various special programs simultaneously. The nine of main performances is classified in three genres roughly and New Challenge will introduce you newly created or experimental productions. On the other hands, 2021 K-PAP(Korean Performing Arts Platform for Children and Youth) is organized with programs covering international trend in performing art sector and creation process, and several workshops will be run. Most importantly, we are going to streaming nine main performances live via online platform to provide the opportunities of appreciating theatre performances for national and international children. We hope our festival from online and offline can brighten and highlight your winter.

ASSITEJ Korea had originally programmed 11 theatre plays from 8 different countries and a theatrical collaboration among Korea, China, and Japan. Unfortunately, most of the states are on lockdown and close their borders due to the COVID-19.

Current circumstances tend to make us difficult to invite international performers and organize international festival as we used to do. Instead, we have organized a digital program from 15th to 25th of August : under the slogan of “CONTACT + UNTACT”.

Therefore, we are reorganizing the program of this festival in the form of online festival and inviting performing teams which were awarded Seoul Children’s Theatre Awards hosted by ASSITEJ Korea.

We would like to invite you to our ASSITEJ Korea Online Festival: CONTACT + UNTACT which will warmly embrace children’s emotion, and we hope this festival can help children to feel less isolated during Covid-19 lockdown and to develop their inspiration and creativity.
