“SPIEL:lust” a theatre-encounter in Cologne

From June 19th til 25th 2020 the first encounter of “SPIEL:lust” (“desire to play”) with children and young people from North Rhine-Westphalia/Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands will take place in Cologne.

We focus on plays whose amateur actors and actresses are (mainly) 10 to 14 years young and which are characterized by a noticeably high desire to play beside artful theater work by everyone involved. The participants look forward to a week of playing theatre, watching theatre and workshops, accompanied by various platforms for exchange ´round about the presentations.

In the symposium on June 22nd 2020, together with drama teachers and instructors/leaders will be examined to what diversity, innovation, selection of plays and topics, the choice of theatrical, aesthetic elements and the courage to experiment, or simply talented directing/instructing have influence on the quality of plays.
