Description

Since the pandemic situation has been going, ASSITEJ KOREA has never stopped providing festivals to the children and families. The 29th ASSITEJ KOREA International Summer Festival is organised as a nationwide and hybrid TYA festival in Korea for 3 weeks, which connects the capital to different local regions and makes it more accessible through the online streaming platform. The offline festival is providing 9 Korean Productions in different cities – Seoul, Gwangju, Daegu, Incheon, and Gimhae- from 17 July to 1 of August. Moreover, the International Productions from Japan and the USA will be streamed through the online streaming channel from 2 August to 8 August. ASSITEJ KOREA was originally based in Seoul and focused on providing national and international performances mostly around the capital. This year, we are trying to expand the scope of the festival nationally and to reach as many audiences who would like to enjoy and appreciate the children’s theatre performances in their towns. By introducing the International Productions online, ASSITEJ KOREA would like to invite the international productions to perform at the next edition of ASSITEJ KOREA International Summer Festival in Korea.
