Again, the Theater der Jungen Welt (Theatre of the Young World) invites everyone interested in theatre for young audiences to join the audiences and debates, outings and night time specials at the bi-annual festival “Workshop days”.
The “Workshop days” have a long tradition of being one of the most important meeting places for everyone involved in TYA in Germany. International guests are welcome. “Boxenstopp” offers an additional programme of writers presenting their work in progress on stage .

'Festival 2011 - theatre for young audiences' takes place in Randers, Denmark from 3-10 April 2011. The festival is organised by the Danish Theatre Centre (Teatercentrum).
100 professional theatres for young audiences will perform more than 160 shows during the festival week.

Assitej South Africa members are in the process of developing three new festivals - one for performances in the KwaZulu-Natal area (dates to be decided), one for performances in Cape Town (targeting family audiences in November) and one for performances in Itsoseng, in rural North West province (September 2011). While these festivals will all start off as local events, we feel certain that over time, with dynamic partnerships and energetic engagement, there will be significant growth as young audiences are developed.

Playwright Heini Junkkaala( born 1975) won The Nordic Playwright Prize 2010 with the play for children "Kymmenen tikkua laudalla" /"Ten sticks on the board".
Premiere of the play was in 2008 at Ahaa Theatre in Tampere.
