An exciting mix of international and local work will make this a festival that young people
will remember for a long time to come.

Meanwhile in Johannesburg, the Festival of Fame (15-20 March) will be showcasing a host of cutting edge productions at its festival, aimed largely at high schools audiences.

Assitej SA acknowledges that more needs to be done in other provinces of South Africa to bring high quality theatre to children and youth and we are hoping that the ITEC project (the Interactive Theatre and Education Catalogue) with its related development project is going to be the catalyst
for ensuring that more children have access to theatre in their own environments. We look forward to mobilizing everyone with an interest in and passion for the field through this project.

We are also working with Artscape to develop a Cultural Village in the Cape Town township of Guguletu, which will provide children with holiday
entertainment, activities and workshops.
