The Small size International Association was founded in 2007 in the framework of the project “Small size, the net”, financed by the Culture Programme of the European Commission for the first three years (2006-2009). The primary objective and activity of the Association is the diffusion of performing arts for early years (0-6 years) and, more generally, the promotion of culture for this age group.

The Executive Committee meets in Madrid

The ASSITEJ International Executive Committee will meet in Madrid from 9 - 13 of February for it’s first meeting in 2010. It will take place in the framework of Teatralia International Festival for Young Audiences. The host of the meeting is Lola Lara Crespo - Lopez, president of ASSITEJ Spain.
In the framework of the festival and the meeting, the members of the Executive Committee will participate in the Forum organized by ASSITEJ International and ASSITEJ Spain with the topic About the relationship of Theatre Artists and Theatre Audience - Schoolyard Stories.

Sad news from ASSITEJ Mexico

ASSITEJ MEXICO is sad to tell you that our honorary president XAVIER ROJAS passed away last Thursday 28 of January at the age of 89.
Mr. Rojas was one of the founders of ASSITEJ MEXICO besides being a well known playwright and director.
He was professor of many generations of actors at the National Institute of Fine Arts and the National Actors Association.
The Mexican theatrical world will miss his wisdom, love and passion.
