Taboos in theatre for children and Young people
ASSITEJ workshop project between the Latin American and the Nordic countries took place in Caracas, Venezuela the first week of December 2007. The workshop was hosted by the Grupo de Teatro Universitario El Chichon, TIN - Teatro Infantil Nacional, in co-operation with the Universidad Central de Venezuela. The workshop leaders were Perla Szchumacher from Mexico and Robert Sjöblom from Sweden. The working languages were English and Spanish.
There were 30 participants: 10 from the Nordic countries,10 from the other Latin American countries and 10 from Venezuela.
The project was documented and presented at the SCHÄXPIR Festival in Linz, Austria in June 2009 by Katariina Metsälampi, the nordic coordinator and Solange Perrazzo who had documentated the project and made the video.

The project was very successful and engendred new activities among the participants and a next big workshop will be prepared for the year 2010 hopefully in Brazil.

FESTIVALS OF THEATRES FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH
Summary
The EFRP research workshop in Moscow, hosted by Praktika theatre within the framework of the Big Break festival, focused on festivals of theatre for children and young audiences. The two days were subdivided into three sessions, with Russian and European participants offering 14 presentations, followed by intensive discussion. The participants focused on festival programming and the search for new audiences and outlined possible avenues for further research.
