Representatives of each province can publish their news and information about the theater for children and young people in the ASSITEJ Iran’s web site. Interested can visit the site and see the news about the theater for children and young people around Iran.

    On March 20th, ATIG – CENTRO ITALIANO ASSITEJ’s annual meeting took place at the Teatro Testoni of Bologna. In itself, it has been a valuable meeting as opportunity to meet and discuss the activities of the Association that is responsible for supporting theatre for children and young people and promoting it in Italy and abroad. This meeting was nodal also for the renewal of the board.

    Dear members,

    We are hard at work, closely with ASSITEJ Austria and ASSITEJ France on the 2013 edition of the ASSITEJ Magazine, which will include an exciting mix of articles and photo galleries and will be printed in both English and French.

    The magazine will tie in the ASSITEJ International Meeting which is being held from June 21-29, 2013 in Linz, Austria and its overall theme: "facing/meeting the artists".

    We are considering articles on: How do we define quality in TYA, should artists be involved in politics, how are artistic languages (literature, design, music, dance) evolving in TYA, How do contemporary artists deal with their countries traditional and folk heritage.

    The magazine will be presented and distributed at the international meeting and the SCHÄXPIR Festival in Linz.

    The centers could order copies for their countries as well.

    From 20th-30th June 2013 the biggest annual artistic gathering within the field of theatre for young audiences will be taking place in Austria!
    From 20th-30th June 2013 ASSITEJ Austria in conjunction with the international theatre festival SCHÄXPIR invites artists from around the world to Linz!
    With the working topic "Facing the Artist" the International Meeting assembles over 40 (inter-)national theater performances of all genres. Seminars, discussions and workshops are dedicated to different aspects and topics such as music- and dancetheatre.
    In collaboration with artists and researches from all over the world the meeting will emphasize the essential questions: In which categories do today's artists think and work? Between didactic and pedagogic claims, entertainment and "spectacularisation" - where are the artistic perspectives? All these questions will stir up controversy and open up diverse perspectives to talk about theater as art.
    The 2. ASSITEJ International Meeting will be an artistic gathering for people in theatre for children and young people from all over the world to meet, interact, and develop new creative opportunities.

    WORLD DAY OF THEATRE FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE

    March 20 is celebrated world wide as a World Day of Theatre for Children and Young People by the international community of theatre practitioners for childen and young people. On that occasion, in all theaters, messages written by distinguished artists from the field are read before the performances and special events are organized.

    Our campaign slogan since 2012 is 'Take A Child to the Theatre Today'. We think this message is clear and simple. We encourage you to use it widely and inventively. It's a call to parents, grandparents and guardians to take the chiildren in their care to the theatre on March 20th (and of course on every day of the year).

    The “Zvjezdana Ladika“ award for the highest quality drama teaching achievements this year went to the drama teacher and director Sanja Hrnjak for the play “BAJKA ZBRČKALICA/A CONFUSED TALE” performed by the students of the drama program of the Zorin Dom City Theatre in Karlovac.
    The performance of ”Vjetropljus/Windsplash” by the Dada drama program of the Theatre Troupe Pinklec from Čakovec, directed by Davor Dokleja, was proposed for this years “International Children’s Festival in Sibenik”.

    In the Recent past most important change at Assitej India has been the election of new EC and major amendments of our Constitution. The new constitution makes the working and participating in Assitej India's working more democratic. Some of the main pointers and special features of the new constitutions are..........
    The tenure of an EC has been fixed for two years.
    An individual can serve to an EC post for maximum of two terms.
    Inclusion of 6 EC members while the previous constitution had only 4 office bearers.
    Companies and organizations that are not necessarily attached with theatre but working for or with Children such as libraries, activity centers or hobby clubs etc now can be the Associate members of Assitej India.
    Now the finances will jointly be handled by President, Treasurer and secretary while in the old one it was just looked after by the president.
