TYA/USA introduces TYA/USA on Tour! Throughout this Fall, TYA/USA will host a series of single-day events at three different TYA organizations across the United States including Seattle Children’s Theatre (Seattle, WA) on Thursday, October 20, First Stage (Milwaukee, WI) on Friday, November 4, and Imagination Stage (Bethesda, MD) on Friday, November 18. At each of the events, attendees will see a live TYA performance, hear from inspiring keynote speakers, participate in breakout sessions, and connect with colleagues at a culminating reception. Recognizing the importance of virtual programming as an option for our members, we are excited to offer an online engagement pathway for the event via the TYA/USA on Tour Virtual Pass. Whether you are local to a host organization, decide to plan a trip to attend, or participate online, we are thrilled to connect with you during TYA/USA on Tour!

Convening at Childsplay and Tempe Center for the Arts, the 2023 National Festival & Conference will bring the TYA community together for a landmark opportunity to reunite and chart the course ahead for the next generation of TYA theatremakers and audiences. Join us to see live theatre as a national community, engage in dynamic interactive workshop experiences, gain inspiration from extraordinary keynote speakers, and participate in collective art-making. The 2023 National Festival and Conference will feature work from across the US, highlighting the stories of young people and their resilience. We will imagine the scope of our work’s impact by highlighting TYA as activism, as a powerful catalyst to support young people and their surrounding communities. We will examine innovative new models of play development, production, and arts education practice that have recently emerged, and envision a more sustainable and equitable future for our industry. Registration will launch in January 2023! We are currently seeking Breakout Session proposals from our international field to be added to an exciting line-up of existing programming. The Request for Proposals is open now until November 21, 2022!
